SAMHSA invites its applicants to take a step forward into a new grantee
experience with this innovative system, managed by SAMHSA's own home agency,
the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). By addressing the huge
knowledge-management enterprise of the grant-making process, the Federal
government has begun the process of bringing agencies closer to the action
agents of their programs-their grantee stakeholders. For more information,

Grants.gov
The charter of Grants.gov, one of 24 President's Management Agenda E-Government
initiatives, is to provide a simple, unified electronic storefront for
interactions between grant applicants and the Federal agencies that manage
grant funds. There are 26 Federal grant-making agencies and over 900 individual
grant programs that award over $400 billion in grants each year. The grant
community, including state, local and tribal governments, academia and research
institutions, and not-for-profits, need only visit one website, Grants.gov, to
access the annual grant funds available across the Federal government. For an

A standardized manner of locating and learning more about funding
opportunities.

A single, secure and reliable source for applying for Federal grants online.

A unified interface for all agencies to announce their grant opportunities, and
for all grant applicants to find and apply for those opportunities.
In addition to simplifying the grant application process, Grants.gov also
creates avenues for consolidation and best practices within each grant-making

Grants.gov has enhanced the Get Started and Registration information to help
you get on track with finding and applying for Federal Grants. There are two
key features on the site:
Find Grant Opportunities and
Apply for Grants. Everything else on the site is designed to support
these two features and your use of them.
Registration information is provided to guide you through the entire
process.
Important Note:
Your Central Contractor Registry (CCR) Registration must be renewed once a
year. Your CCR E-Business Point of Contact (POC) should check your renewal
status yearly at the following link:
https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/scripts/indexconfirm.asp . If
you are not sure of the status of your registration or who your E-Business
POC is, you can search the CCR database at
http://www.bpn.gov/ccrinq/scripts/search.asp.
GrantsNet
GrantsNet is an Internet application tool created by the Department of Health
and Human Services (DHHS) Office of Grants Management and Policy (OGMP) for
finding and exchanging information about HHS and other Federal grant programs.
GrantsNet serves the general public, the grantee community, and grant-makers
(i.e. state and local governments, educational institutions, non-profit
organizations, and commercial businesses). GrantsNet provides a variety of
Department-wide grants policies governing the award and administration of grant
activities, publishing these in grants policy directives, regulations, and/or
manuals.
GrantsNet is the site which links to informative materials
relating to opportunities, application process, and managing of Federal grants.
