NOTE: In 2008, a split-sample design assigned adults aged 18 or older to one of two impairment scales. Adults in sample A were administered World Health Organization Disability Assessment Schedule (WHODAS) questions, and those in sample B were administered Sheehan Disability Scale (SDS) questions. Analysis weights for each sample were poststratified separately to U.S. census population estimates of the civilian, noninstitutionalized population aged 18 or older for various demographic domains. Estimated population totals for samples A and B may differ slightly for demographic domains that were not controlled or were controlled differently in the poststratification. Ten adults who broke off their interviews prior to their split-sample assignment are excluded from this table. See Section B.4 of Appendix B in the Results from the 2008 National Survey on Drug Use and Health: National Findings.
1 The Other Employment category includes retired persons, disabled persons, homemakers, students, or other persons not in the labor force.Source: SAMHSA, Office of Applied Studies, National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 2008.
