SAMHSA Internship Program

Application Instructions

Eligible applicants must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident (I-151 or I-551)
  • Be a current student who is pursuing a degree or certificate from an accredited college (including 4-year colleges/universities, community colleges, and junior colleges); professional, vocational, and trade school; or other qualifying educational institutions
  • graduate who within the previous two years has completed an associates, bachelors, masters, professional, doctorate, vocational, or technical degree or certificate from one of these accredited educational institutions
  • Veterans unable to apply within two years of receiving their degree due to their military service obligation have up to six years after degree completion to apply.
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

Applications cannot be saved. Before filling out the application, please have the following information on hand to upload:

Applicants will be notified by email when their letters of recommendation are received.

Applicants who need to change information on a submitted application must complete and submit another application with the required documents.
